Author's Perspective:                                                                                                                                                                                                             Creating visual poetry from the ages of 16 to 25, the author has collected poems and created film collage art which march through the growth and stages of womanhood as she made her own home in storytelling. When she is not writing, she has experience ranging from a pediatric emergency nurse to a functional medicine certified wellness education nurse whose passion lies in equitable global healthcare for women. The majority of her pieces have a western influence due to her experience with horse back riding and barrels, showcasing the journey of being a first generation cowgirl. She aspires to make Sunflower Seeds Visual Poetry a place where the heaviness of being human becomes lighter. May her words plant seeds in other young women's hearts who are learning to nourish their own roots in each stage of their femininity in womanhood.
